TaskForce for Ending Homelessness stands as the premier organization dedicated to offering housing solutions for those experiencing homelessness.
Our work over the past two decades has built a strong foundation of trust within the community, which has allowed us to successfully assist thousands of people in exiting homelessness safely.

During 2024, TaskForce served more than 7,200 people and engaged with them through more than 22,000 service contacts.

TaskForce provides critical outreach, mental health and housing services on every day of the year. TaskForce can always be found at one of our many daily access and assessment locations.
SERVING EVERY YEAR SINCE 1999
The first team at TaskForce began in 1999 as a law enforcement collaboration. During the agency’s decades of experience serving vulnerable populations in Florida. TaskForce has operated and continued to expand comprehensive programs that address the barriers to achieving and maintaining housing stability.
About
We have established long-term relationships throughout the Florida network of social service providers, advocates, health agencies, the justice system, and the faith-based community to better serve the homeless population. These valuable relationships allow us to reach our outreach goals and assist our homeless neighbors.
TaskForce depends upon community support to provide critical street outreach, treatment, and housing services. We also offer donors the opportunity to build a legacy that will continue long into the future.
Since the founding of TaskForce for Ending Homelessness in 1999 as a law enforcement collaboration, we have had over 255,353 contacts with individuals and families with children experiencing homelessness. We have made over 186,650 placements in housing, shelter or a treatment program in Broward County.
These contacts have been made possible by the expertise, working knowledge and dedication of our staff coupled with our agency’s ability to provide the support necessary. TaskForce works in close collaboration with a number of local law enforcement agencies and law enforcement officials work directly with our outreach teams. This collaboration with local police organizations has earned us cooperation and respect both locally and nationally.
The TaskForce Outreach Team has been recognized as a Best Practice Model by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Our Mission
To get our homeless neighbors off the street through proactive outreach services and provide placement in a program that will help them get “home."
